In the foreground of the painting, as if floating in front of the landscape – a dark circle with a diameter of a third of the picture. The edges of the circle look like clotted blood dripping down in three rivulets. In the center of the circle is a dark figure, painted in a rough, dark gray material. Black eyes on a white background, eyebrows raised in horror, worried forehead, nose and cheeks. Blood splashes are scattered from the top of the circle.
