The entire painting depicts a scene in the theater. At the bottom of the painting are the silhouettes of a crowd in black: heads and hands raised, some with cell phones. At the sides of the stage and behind it is a red canvas.
In the center of the stage, under a beam of light, sits a man with gray hair, blue overalls and cap, next to him, his hand on his shoulder, a girl in a pink dress and a baby in her hands. Around this sweet image, on the right, a woman lies, bleeding and with a gesture of supplication reaching out to them, on the left, a woman, also bleeding, sits between her widely spread legs – a rifle rests. Around the women are various objects scattered – glasses, an open book, a walking stick.
Cross painting in mixed media – gouache, pencil colors and markers by Indigi Weksler from Alon Center.
